Wright's Beach Campground

Wright's Beach Campground is one of the most scenic coastal camping options in Northern California, located within Sonoma Coast State Park along Highway 1 north of Bodega Bay. The 27 developed campsites sit directly adjacent to the beach, providing unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and easy access to the sand. The rugged coastline here is characterized by dramatic bluffs, sea stacks, and powerful surf that makes for spectacular scenery but dangerous swimming conditions. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and paved parking spur. The campground has flush toilet restrooms with running water, though there are no potable water fill stations on site. Campers needing to fill water tanks should do so at Bodega Dunes Campground approximately 5 miles south, which also has an RV dump station and coin-operated hot showers available to registered Wright's Beach campers. Maximum trailer length is 27 feet, and no hookups are available. The Kortum Trail provides accessible coastal hiking directly from the campground, meandering along the bluffs with stunning ocean views. Dogs are not permitted on the beach or dunes. The powerful surf, strong rip currents, and sudden ground swells make this stretch of coast unsuitable for swimming or wading.

Located on Highway 1 between Bodega Bay and Jenner. The campground is approximately 5 miles north of Bodega Dunes Campground along the scenic Sonoma Coast.
