Liberty Glen
The campground has been closed since 2021 due to failing electrical and water infrastructure. The US Army Corps of Engineers is working on electrical diagnostics and system rehabilitation, but no reopening date has been announced.

About
Liberty Glen Campground sits atop Rockpile Road overlooking Lake Sonoma in Sonoma County, about 45 minutes north of Santa Rosa. Managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, this drive-in facility offers a variety of site types: standard single sites, double sites, a cabin, two accessible group sites, and an equestrian group site. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, and lantern post. The campground features flush restrooms, free showers, potable drinking water, a dump station, an amphitheater, and a playground on Loop A. Lake Sonoma offers excellent boating and fishing opportunities, though note that Liberty Glen does not provide direct shoreline access. The surrounding area includes an archery range, air rifle range, disc golf course, outdoor gym, and dog park. Hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders can explore the Serpentine, Rancheria, and Cove trails. Reservations are required year-round through Recreation.gov; no walk-in or first-come-first-served camping is available. Check-in is at 2 PM and check-out is at noon. A gate combination is provided upon reservation confirmation. Firewood must be purchased locally.
Directions
From Highway 101, exit at Dry Creek Road in Healdsburg. Travel west on Dry Creek Road for approximately 11 miles to the Lake Sonoma park boundary. Continue west another 4 miles, following park signs to Liberty Glen Campground at the top of the ridge.
