Nestled in the rolling hills of north-central Pennsylvania's Tioga County, Hills Creek State Park combines lakeside recreation with quality camping facilities. The campground's 85 sites range from grassy open areas to shaded spots under immense hemlock trees, with options spanning non-electric tent sites to full-hookup RV pads accommodating rigs up to 63 feet. Modern restrooms with warm showers, a sanitary dump station, and drinking water are centrally located. The 137-acre Hills Creek Lake anchors the park's recreation. A guarded swimming beach operates in summer, while anglers pursue bass, panfish, and other warmwater species year-round. Only electric motors are permitted, keeping the lake quiet for paddlers and wildlife watchers. The park consistently draws osprey, loons, and bald eagles. Five miles of hiking trails loop through mixed hardwood and hemlock forests. Beyond traditional camping, the park offers ten modern cabins available year-round, three camping cottages, yurts, and new glamping sites launching in 2026. A camp store provides basic supplies. Group camping accommodates up to 40 people with a dedicated pavilion. The park sits midway between Wellsboro and Mansfield along US Route 6, placing it within reach of Pennsylvania Grand Canyon at nearby Leonard Harrison and Colton Point state parks.

From US Route 6, the park is located midway between Wellsboro and Mansfield in north-central Tioga County. The park is also accessible via PA Route 287 between Tioga and Wellsboro. The entrance is at 111 Spillway Road.
