About

Located in scenic Tioga County in north central Pennsylvania, Hills Creek State Park encompasses 407 acres centered around the 137-acre Hills Creek Lake. The campground at the north end of the park features 85 sites that vary from grassy open areas to sites dominated by immense hemlock, beech, maple, and ash trees, offering campers a choice between sun or shade. The campground provides modern amenities including many electric sites and some full-hookup sites with sewer, water, and electricity connections. Facilities include warm showers, flush restrooms, water fountains, and a sanitary dump station. Six campsites are ADA accessible, and pets are allowed on designated sites. The campground operates seasonally from mid-April through mid-October. Beyond traditional camping, the park offers year-round lodging in ten modern cabins, three cottages, and yurts. The lake provides opportunities for fishing with warmwater species including walleye, perch, and bass. Wildlife viewing is abundant, with osprey, loons, and waterfowl frequently visiting the lake. Winter activities include ice skating, ice fishing, sledding, and cross-country skiing.

Directions

Hills Creek State Park is located in northcentral Tioga County, just north of US 6 and midway between Wellsboro and Mansfield. The park is also accessible from PA 287 between the towns of Tioga and Wellsboro.
