About

Wolcott Campground sits along the Eagle River in Colorado's Eagle County, managed by the BLM Colorado River Valley Field Office. The campground is readily accessible from Interstate 70 at Exit 157, positioned just east of scenic Red Canyon. A boat ramp provides access to the Eagle River for fishing and paddling. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system. Stay limits vary by season: 7 days maximum from May through August, and 14 days maximum from September through November. The site serves as a practical base for exploring the Eagle River corridor and surrounding BLM lands.

Directions

Take I-70 Exit 157 at Wolcott and turn north. Turn left onto the frontage road (Old Highway 6) at the stop sign. Follow the road 2 miles past the bridge and the Wolcott Yacht Club. Turn right at the Wolcott Recreation Area sign and follow the road downhill to the campground.
