About

Wisconsin Ridge Campground commands one of the most spectacular settings in the Wisconsin State Park System, sitting 500 feet above the confluence of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers in Grant County. The ridgetop location provides expansive views across the river valley, though sites along the edge trade privacy for vistas and can be exposed to wind. The campground contains 55 sites, with 22 offering 30-amp electrical hookups. All sites include fire rings and picnic tables. Modern facilities include flush toilets, shower buildings, and potable water. A dump station is located near the Homestead campground entrance. During peak season, a concession stand near the campground sells firewood, ice, camping supplies, and rents canoes and kayaks. From the campground, visitors have direct access to 14 miles of hiking trails leading to Point Lookout, the Passenger Pigeon Monument, and scenic overlooks. The park is renowned for eagle watching and contains Native American burial mounds. Nearby amenities include volleyball and basketball courts, a playground, and the Huser Astronomy Center.
