About

Homestead Campground sits within Wyalusing State Park, Wisconsin's second-oldest state park, offering panoramic views from 500 feet above the confluence of the Wisconsin and Mississippi rivers. The campground provides a more secluded camping experience compared to the adjacent Wisconsin Ridge campground, with generous spacing between sites and mature tree cover throughout its four distinct loops. The campground features approximately 55 campsites, including nine with electric hookups. A centrally located shower building constructed in 2019 provides flush toilets and hot showers. Vault restrooms are also available throughout the campground. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table. A sanitary dump station is located near the campground entrance for RV campers. The park offers over 20 miles of hiking trails, including the Sentinel Ridge Trail with its dramatic Mississippi River overlooks, plus opportunities for canoeing, fishing, and exceptional bird watching during spring and fall migrations. Firewood is available for purchase at the park concession stand during season.
