About
Winchester Lake State Park is a small, forested oasis in the heart of the Camas Prairie, offering a quiet retreat for campers seeking lakeside recreation. The park surrounds 103-acre Winchester Lake, stocked with rainbow trout, largemouth bass, and bluegill. Mountain biking trails wind through the surrounding ponderosa pine forest, and a paved trail circles the lake for easy walking or cycling. Four year-round yurts provide a unique camping option with amenities including bunk beds, futons, microwaves, propane BBQs, electric heat, and a canoe for guest use. The park features modern amenities including flush toilets, indoor showers, a dump station, fish cleaning station, and a park store. Day-use visitors and campers can enjoy fishing from shore or boat, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. A life jacket loaner station is available.
