About
Horseshoe Campground sits at 8,540 feet in the Williams Fork Valley, offering a quiet escape along the Williams Fork River. The campground has seven non-electric sites suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs, with parking spurs ranging from 30 to 50 feet. Each site includes a tent pad, fire grate, and picnic table. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations available for individual sites. Facilities include vault toilets and trash service, but no potable water is provided, so campers must bring their own supply. Most sites lack shade due to tree removal from the mountain pine beetle epidemic. The surrounding area provides access to the Byers Peak Wilderness for hiking, along with opportunities for scenic driving and wildlife viewing. The campground is located 20 miles south of Parshall off US Highway 40, accessed via County Road 3 and Forest Road 139.
Directions
From Parshall on US Highway 40, travel south approximately 20 miles on County Road 3, then turn onto Forest Road 139 to reach the campground in the Williams Fork Valley.
