About

Cow Creek North Campground occupies a scenic position on the northeast shore of Green Mountain Reservoir within the White River National Forest. The campground offers 5 group sites designed to accommodate larger parties, with each site featuring fire rings and picnic tables. Sites are suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water available, so all campers must bring their own water supply. Green Mountain Reservoir is the primary attraction, supporting a range of water activities including motorized and non-motorized boating, fishing, water skiing, canoeing, and windsurfing. Anglers can target rainbow trout, brown trout, and kokanee salmon. All motorized watercraft must undergo mandatory Aquatic Nuisance Species inspections and launch from the Heeney Marina on the west shore. The surrounding White River National Forest provides additional recreation opportunities. Spring Creek, located at the northern end of the Gore Mountain Range, offers a network of roads open to off-road vehicle use through lodgepole pine and spruce-fir forests with mountain viewpoints along the way.
