About

Willow Creek Transfer Camp is a primitive equestrian-focused campground located in the Sawtooth National Forest near Featherville, Idaho. The facility features 4 large camping units ideal for groups with stock animals. Each site includes picnic tables, utility tables, and fire rings. Stock facilities include corrals with hay racks and a barrier-free ADA loading ramp, though the stock loading facilities are currently under renovation. The campground provides direct access to Willow Creek Trail No. 019, which is part of the Idaho Centennial Trail system. This single-track trail accommodates hikers, horseback riders, bicyclists, and motorcycles, but ATVs and UTVs are not permitted. A vault toilet is available on-site, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own water supply. The campground operates from May 15 through October 31 and is free to use, with an optional donation tube available. Sites are first-come, first-served with no reservations accepted. All sites feature ADA accessible furniture, though the ground surface is uneven native material. The access road is paved until the forest boundary, after which it becomes a maintained dirt road.
