About
Willow Creek Campground occupies a scenic hillside overlooking Willow Creek Reservoir in eastern Oregon's Blue Mountains foothills. The 24-site park features mostly 50 to 60 foot pull-through spaces with a couple of back-in sites, offering full hookups with 50/60 amp electric, water, and sewer or partial hookups with water and electric. Tent camping is also available at budget-friendly rates. The terraced layout provides many sites with unobstructed reservoir views. The campground is managed by the Willow Creek Park District and sits on land created by the 1983 Willow Creek Dam, an Army Corps of Engineers flood control project built to protect the town of Heppner. Modern restrooms with hot showers, a dump station, Wi-Fi, picnic tables, and BBQ pits round out the amenities. A boat launch nearby provides access to the reservoir for fishing and boating. Situated on the Blue Mountain Scenic Byway, the campground serves as a convenient base for exploring the surrounding region. Downtown Heppner is just minutes away, and the route continues east toward Baker City through scenic high desert and mountain terrain.
Directions
From Highway 207 at the Heppner city limits, turn onto Willow Creek Road and continue approximately 0.5 miles to the campground entrance.
