Bull Prairie Campground
Open for the season. The campground operates from Memorial Day through mid-November, with closure determined by snow conditions. Some sites are reservable through Recreation.gov while others are first-come, first-served. No garbage service; pack out all trash.
Alcohol Prohibitions
This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.
Aquatic Invasive Species
This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.
Restrictions on Use of Forage and Mulch Products

About
Bull Prairie Campground is a popular destination in the Umatilla National Forest, nestled among Ponderosa pine, Douglas-fir, grand fir, and spruce at the edge of 28-acre Bull Prairie Lake. The lake is stocked annually with rainbow trout and offers excellent fishing from shore or from accessible docks. Non-motorized boating is permitted with a boat ramp and trailer parking available. The campground features 34 sites including standard tent/RV sites, tent-only sites, double sites, and a group site. A 1.2-mile paved accessible trail circles the lake, ideal for walking, jogging, or cycling. The day-use area includes accessible picnic facilities. Wildlife viewing opportunities include deer, elk, chipmunks, squirrels, and various waterfowl. The nearby Morrow County OHV Park is located 8 miles north via connecting trails. ATV access within the campground is restricted to the dump station area and sites 25-28 only. Heppner, 41.5 miles north, is the nearest town for supplies and fuel.
Directions
From Heppner, Oregon: Travel south on Highway 207 for approximately 36 miles. Turn east on Forest Service Road 2039 and follow signs to Bull Prairie Recreational Area.
