About

Williams Creek Campground offers both shaded and sunny campsites in a scenic setting among cedar, aspen, and ponderosa pines, approximately 23 miles north of Pagosa Springs. Some of the 61 sites are located on the banks of Williams Creek, which runs along the eastern edge of the campground, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The campground includes many single family sites, some double sites, and premium sites with water and sewer hookups. There are a few level pull-through and back-in sites appropriate for larger RVs up to 45 feet. The campground is one mile from Williams Creek Reservoir, a popular spot for fishing kokanee salmon and trout, as well as kayaking and motorized boating. Several ATV and hiking trails are located approximately one to five miles beyond the campground. Nearby attractions include Piedra Falls, the Cimarrona Trail, and the Williams Creek Trail, both of which run through the Weminuche Wilderness and connect with the Continental Divide Trail. The area experienced severe flooding in October 2025, which damaged multiple roads and trails in the region.
