Located about 3/4 mile east of Thirty Mile Campground on Forest Road 520, this facility provides a hitching post and small corrals specifically for those traveling with pack stock or horses. This is a day-use facility only and does not provide overnight camping. Stock trailers can be parked at this location while riders access connecting trails, including Trail #817 which links to Thirty Mile Campground and wilderness trails #814 and #818. The area is primitive with no developed amenities. There are no fees to use this stock unloading area. No potable water or restrooms are available at this site. Campers with horses who need overnight accommodations should consider nearby Thirty Mile Campground, though horse trailers must remain parked at this stock unloading area rather than in the campground itself.
