About

Clark Memorial Campground sits at 2,500 feet elevation along the Thompson River in the Lolo National Forest near Thompson Falls. This open, sunny site in the canyon bottom provides a peaceful riverside setting with nearby forest access and excellent fishing opportunities. The small campground features just four campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. This is a primitive, first-come, first-served campground with no fee. Vault toilets are available, but no drinking water is provided, so visitors must bring their own. The maximum trailer length is 20 feet. Campers are required to follow bear safety and food storage requirements, and this is a pack-in, pack-out site with no trash service. Located just 5 miles north of Montana Highway 200 on Thompson River Road, the campground offers easy access to river fishing and serves as a quiet base camp for exploring the Plains/Thompson Falls area of Lolo National Forest. The 14-day camping limit applies.
