Clark Memorial Campground is a free, primitive camping area located in the Plains/Thompson Falls area of Lolo National Forest in Sanders County, Montana. Situated at approximately 2,500 feet elevation in an open, sunny canyon bottom along the Thompson River, the campground provides a peaceful setting with a nearby forest and excellent fishing opportunities. The campground operates seasonally from mid-May through mid-fall and is managed on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations required or accepted. Facilities are basic: vault toilets and picnic tables are provided, but there is no potable water on site, so campers must bring their own supply. Horse and pack animals are not permitted at this location. Access is straightforward, located 5 miles north of Montana Highway 200 on Thompson River Road. The campground is free of charge, making it an attractive option for anglers and campers seeking a quiet riverside spot in western Montana.
