The Group Use Campground at Washoe Lake State Park provides a dedicated space for organized group camping near the lake's main day use area and boat launch. This is an established campground with substantial infrastructure including a covered pavilion, restrooms, 20 picnic tables, barbecue grills, electrical power, lighting, and a sink with counter space. Recreational amenities include a sandy volleyball court and horseshoe pits. The park sits in the Washoe Valley between Reno and Carson City, offering views of the surrounding mountains and easy access to the lake for fishing and non-motorized boating. The group area can accommodate gatherings from 6 to over 200 people, with tiered pricing based on group size. A dump station is available in the park at Campground Loop A. Reservations are made through ReserveNevada.com, and the campground operates year-round with a seven-day camping limit within any 30-day period. Pets are permitted but must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet when within 200 feet of camping or picnic areas.
