About

Washoe Lake State Park Campground provides a scenic basecamp between Reno and Carson City, Nevada. The campground features 49 sites across multiple loops, each equipped with a table, grill, and fire ring. Loop A offers 24 sites with water and electric hookups, accommodating RVs up to 45 feet. Some sites include shade structures for comfort during warmer months. Two comfort stations serve the campground, with one featuring showers. A dump station is available for RV waste disposal. The park is open 365 days a year and operates on the Reserve Nevada system, with reservations available 3 days to 11 months in advance. Check-in begins at 2 p.m. and checkout is by 11 a.m., with a maximum stay of 7 days per 30-day period. The surrounding park offers hiking trails, equestrian facilities, and excellent birdwatching opportunities along the lake's shores. Water sports are popular when lake levels permit. The location provides quick access to both Reno's amenities and the Sierra Nevada backcountry.

Directions

Located between Reno and Carson City on the east side of US Highway 395. Take the Eastlake Boulevard exit and follow signs to the park entrance.
