Mormon Station State Historic Park Group Pavilion

Open — The park is open year-round. The group pavilion is available by reservation only through the Nevada State Parks system.

About

Mormon Station State Historic Park Group Pavilion sits within Nevada's first permanent non-native settlement in the quaint town of Genoa at the base of the Sierra Nevada. The group pavilion accommodates up to 300 guests and is available on a reservation-only basis, making it ideal for weddings, family reunions, barbecues, and retirement parties. The facility includes electricity, a sink, a large counter, barbecue equipment, and eight picnic tables. The historic park features a reconstructed 1851 trading post museum, the 1856 Kinsey House, a historic blacksmith shop from 1908, an accessible half-mile walking path with interpretive exhibits, and the Campbell Homestead area. Mature trees planted in the 1800s provide shade across lush lawns, with picnic areas and restrooms available. The museum operates seasonally with varying hours, and the park grounds remain open year-round. At 5,000 feet elevation in the Carson River Basin, the park offers views of the eastern Sierra Nevada and Virginia mountain ranges. Pets are welcome on leash except during special events, and the facility provides trash receptacles throughout the grounds.
