About

Upper Pleasant Creek Campground occupies a forested setting at approximately 8,600 feet elevation in the Fishlake National Forest, surrounded by stands of alpine and ponderosa pine that provide natural shade and wind protection. The campground serves as a base for exploring the scenic landscapes along Utah Highway 12 and accessing fishing opportunities at Lower Bowns Reservoir and Lower Pleasant Creek. The 12 campsites accommodate tents and small RVs under 25 feet, with each site featuring a fire ring and picnic table. Facilities include a vault toilet and hand-pump potable water during the operating season. Campers must pack out all trash and bring their own firewood. A 16-day camping limit applies, quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and pets must remain leashed at all times. The campground operates on a first-come first-served basis with no reservations accepted. Access follows UT-24 east from Torrey for one mile, then south on UT-12 for approximately 17 miles to the campground entrance on the left.

From Torrey, Utah: Head east on UT-24 for approximately 1 mile. Turn right (south) onto UT-12 and continue for 17 miles. Upper Pleasant Creek Campground is on the left (east) side of the road.
