Open for the 2026 season. Operates May through mid-October on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Potable water is available during the operating season. Dry camping is permitted in shoulder months as access and weather allow.

About
Lower Pleasant Creek Campground is a compact 5-site campground nestled in the mountains of Fishlake National Forest at approximately 8,600 feet elevation. The campground is shaded by stands of ponderosa pine that provide wind protection and a pleasant camping atmosphere. Each site includes a picnic table and paved parking. Vault toilets are available, and potable water is provided from May through mid-October. The campground is conveniently located just off Highway 12, approximately 18 miles from Torrey and 19 miles from Boulder, Utah. Anglers will appreciate proximity to Lower Bowns Reservoir and Lower Pleasant Creek for trout fishing. The area offers extensive trails for hiking, mountain biking, and off-highway vehicle use, with the Great Western Trail passing nearby. Managed by High Country Recreation under a concessionaire permit, the campground enforces a 16-day camping limit and quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Campers should bring their own firewood as cutting branches is prohibited. RVs over 26 feet are not recommended due to site constraints.
Directions
The Lower Pleasant Creek Campground is 17.9 miles southeast of Torrey, Utah. Head east on UT-24 (Main Street) for approximately 1 mile. Turn right (south) onto UT-12 for 17 miles. Lower Pleasant Creek Campground will be on the left (east) side of the road just south of Upper Pleasant Creek Campground.
