About
Twin Peaks Campground sits in the heart of Arizona's Sonoran Desert within Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, a UNESCO International Biosphere Reserve along the U.S.-Mexico border. The campground showcases the monument's remarkable collection of desert flora, including 31 cactus species such as the park's namesake organ pipe and giant saguaro. The campground offers 208 sites divided between 34 tent-only sites (175-208) and 174 RV sites (1-174), with four sites accommodating RVs up to 45 feet. Six restrooms provide flush toilets and running water, with three offering free solar-heated showers. A dump station with potable water fill is located at the southern end of the campground. All sites include picnic tables and raised charcoal grills. No utility hookups are available. Recreation options include the 0.9-mile perimeter trail around the campground and the 1.2-mile Desert View Trail near the group camping area. The campground's dark skies make it excellent for stargazing, with a telescope pad and benches available. The nearby Kris Eggle Visitor Center offers exhibits and ranger programs.
