T.K. Jones Campground and Boat Launch sits on the quiet backwaters of the Colorado River directly upstream of Imperial Dam. The site provides roughly 125 RV sites along with numerous dispersed tent camping areas scattered throughout the recreation area. Boaters have access to a paved boat launch with docks, while paddlers can use the dedicated car-top canoe and kayak launch area. A separate day-use area offers parking for boat trailers and access to picnic facilities. The campground features four restroom buildings with flush toilets and showers available for a separate token-based fee. Potable water is available at a central fill station, and the site provides trash receptacles and gray water disposal. Fire rings with grill attachments and picnic tables are distributed throughout the camping areas. Note that there are no utility hookups at any site. The surrounding area offers OHV, biking, and hiking trails, though OHV use is prohibited within the campground itself. The waterway adjacent to the campground is a 5 mph no-wake zone. Camping is limited to 14 days within any 28-day period.

Directions

From Interstate 8: Take the 4th Avenue exit to Imperial County Road S24. Go north approximately 22 miles to Senator Wash Road. Turn left onto Senator Wash Road and follow signs 4 miles to the campground. From AZ 95: Travel north from Yuma, turn left at Imperial Dam Road at the "Big Guns," then right onto Senator Wash Road and follow signs 4 miles.
