About

Catalina State Park occupies nearly 5,500 acres at the western base of the Santa Catalina Mountains, providing a scenic desert camping experience within easy reach of Tucson. The main campgrounds (A and B) offer 120 paved sites with electric hookups (20/30/50A) and water connections, each equipped with a picnic table and BBQ grill. Modern restroom buildings with hot showers serve campers, and two RV dump stations are available on-site. The park operates year-round with no RV length restrictions, making it accessible to rigs of all sizes. From January through March, Ringtail Campground opens additional non-hookup tent camping at a lower rate. An equestrian center with 16 horse stalls accommodates riders exploring the park's trails. Over 40 miles of trails wind through saguaro-studded foothills into the Pusch Ridge Wilderness. The visitor center houses a camp store with supplies, maps, and gifts. Wildlife viewing opportunities include deer, javelina, roadrunners, and numerous bird species that inhabit the Sonoran Desert landscape.
