About

Bog Springs Campground provides a scenic escape into the Santa Rita Mountains of southern Arizona. Many visitors unfamiliar with Arizona will be surprised by the diverse landscapes here: high grasslands climbing the mountain slopes, thick oak woodlands at mid-elevations, and conifer forests covering the peaks. The campground serves as a trailhead for both the Dutch John Trail and Bog Springs Trail, offering excellent hiking opportunities. The campground operates year-round on a first-come, first-served basis. Sites include picnic tables and vault toilets. Potable water is normally available from a hand pump, though it is currently temporarily unavailable. Quiet hours run from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Firewood is not sold on-site, so campers should bring their own firewood, charcoal, or a camp stove.
