About
Twin Creeks Picnic Pavilion is the largest reservable pavilion in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, situated at 1,900 feet elevation in a secluded and private section of the Smokies. The pavilion accommodates up to 150 people and is surrounded by the scenic forest characteristic of this world-renowned national park. Located just over a mile from downtown Gatlinburg, it offers convenient access while maintaining a peaceful natural setting. The pavilion is positioned within easy reach of the park's extensive trail system, with over 800 miles of maintained trails ranging from short walks to strenuous hikes. Visitors can enjoy trout fishing in nearby streams, wildlife viewing including the park's population of approximately 1,500 black bears, and scenic drives along the historic nature trail. The park preserves over 90 historic log structures and protects a magnificent array of plant and animal life in the Southern Appalachian mountains.
Directions
From downtown Gatlinburg, turn south at stoplight #8. Follow Historic Nature Trail Road to the 4-way junction at the access road to Park Vista Hotel. Go straight and continue 1.4 miles into the park, then turn right at the Twin Creeks sign.
