Twin Creeks Picnic Pavilion is the largest covered picnic shelter in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, situated in a private, wooded setting roughly 1.4 miles from downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The pavilion measures 47' x 69' and can accommodate approximately 150 guests, making it ideal for large group gatherings, family reunions, and special events. The facility features 28 picnic tables, a 3' x 24' wooden serving table, and a large fireplace with a 26" x 70" charcoal grill. Wood fires are prohibited. The ADA-accessible restroom building, constructed in 2010, has flush toilets and cold running water. Potable water is available from a spigot near the pavilion fireplace. Bear-proof trash receptacles and pet waste stations are provided. This is strictly a day-use facility with no overnight camping. Check-in begins at 7:00am with checkout at 12:00 midnight. Reservations are required through Recreation.gov and can be made up to one year in advance. Alcohol is permitted at this designated picnic area. All food and coolers must be stored in vehicles when not in use due to bear activity.

Directions

From downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee, turn south at stoplight #8. Follow Historic Nature Trail Road to the 4-way junction at the access road to Park Vista Hotel. Go straight and continue 1.4 miles into the park, then turn right at the Twin Creeks sign.
