This is not a campground and does not offer overnight camping. The covered pavilion can accommodate up to 70 guests and features 15 picnic tables and 4 elevated charcoal grills for group gatherings. The facility operates seasonally from mid-April through late October, while parts of the broader Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Area remain open year-round from sunrise to sunset. Reservations are made through Recreation.gov in morning (7am-3:30pm) or evening (4pm-8pm) time blocks. Restrooms with potable water are available at the picnic area, though not directly at the pavilion. Wood fires are prohibited; only charcoal fires in the provided grills are permitted. All food and scented items must be stored in sealed vehicles when not in use due to black bear activity. Pets are allowed on leash. No buses, motorhomes, or trailers are permitted due to a 10-ton weight limit on Metcalf Bridge.
