About

Troy Meadow Campground is a high-elevation destination at 7,800 feet in the Kern River Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest. The campground offers 73 sites accommodating tents and RVs with no posted trailer length limit, making it popular with both tent campers and larger rigs. Paved parking spurs, picnic tables, and bear boxes are provided at sites, with vault toilets available throughout. The campground connects directly to OHV trails, making it a hub for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts exploring the surrounding forest. Fish Creek runs along the rear of the campground, offering stream fishing opportunities. The area provides classic high-elevation forest camping with relatively heavy usage during peak season. Access is via paved roads either 53 miles northeast of Kernville via Mountain 99 and Sherman Pass Road (22S05), or 34 miles west of Highway 395 via Nine Mile Canyon Road (J41). All camping is first-come, first-served at $17 per night. Campers must pack out all trash as there is no trash collection service.
