About

Three Lakes Campground provides a tranquil escape in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, set among towering red and white pine, white spruce, birch, and sugar maple trees. The campground sits on a narrow strip of land between Lake Superior and Lake Michigan, with three small lakes dotting the immediate landscape. Its location near M-123 and M-28 makes it convenient for travelers crossing the U.P. while still feeling secluded. The campground offers 10 single-family sites suitable for both tent and RV camping. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are provided, and drinking water is available from a hand pump. No hookups or utilities are available, keeping the experience rustic and primitive. Fishing is popular here, with crappie, perch, bullhead, pike, and bass found in the lakes. A carry-down boat ramp near the picnic area provides access for non-motorized watercraft. While there is no designated swimming beach, sandy areas along the lake shores allow for swimming. The Walker Loop Trail offers an easy 1.15-mile hike around the perimeter of Walker Lake.
