About

Brimley State Park is one of the oldest state parks in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, established in 1923 when the Village of Brimley gifted the initial acreage. Located on the scenic shores of Lake Superior's Whitefish Bay, the park covers approximately 100 to 160 acres of lakeside recreation. The main campground features 237 modern campsites, all with electrical hookups ranging from 20 to 50 amps. Sites are level and grassy, with some offering pull-through access and lakeside views. The campground includes both RV sites and tent camping areas, modern restrooms with showers, and a dump station. Amenities at each site include picnic tables and grills. The park offers extensive recreational opportunities including a sandy swimming beach, boat launch on Whitefish Bay, fishing access to Lake Superior, and hiking trails. An abandoned railroad corridor along the park edge provides opportunities for hiking in summer and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter. The park also features mini cabins for rental, picnic areas with shelters, and a playground for children.
