About

Brevoort Lake Campground occupies a scenic peninsula on the western shore of Brevoort Lake, a 4,233-acre lake in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The campground offers 70 sites for tents and RVs, many with waterfront views, nestled among mature pine, hemlock, and oak trees. Sandy beaches line the lakeshore, and a boat launch in the campground provides direct access to Boedne Bay and the main lake. Fishing is a primary draw, with walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and perch all present. In 1985, the Forest Service constructed a walleye spawning reef that continues to support healthy fish populations. Beyond fishing, visitors enjoy swimming at the sandy beaches, hiking nearby trails including the North Country National Scenic Trail and Ridge Trail, and taking day trips to Mackinac Island via a 10-minute ferry from St. Ignace. Each campsite includes a picnic table, lantern post, and fire ring with grill. The campground has flush toilets, drinking water from faucets, and a dump station. No hookups are available. Reservations are accepted through Recreation.gov, with additional first-come, first-served sites available.
