About
Three C's Group Use Campground sits within the Ward Lake Recreation Area in Tongass National Forest, surrounded by old-growth temperate rainforest characteristic of Southeast Alaska. The campground offers 4 drive-in camping units accessible via paved roads, making it suitable for vehicles towing trailers or small RVs. Facilities include vault toilets, fire rings with grills, and garbage service. A hand pump is present, though potable water availability may be limited. The campground operates primarily for group use at $40 per group, with individual campers permitted only when the nearby Signal Creek and Last Chance campgrounds are at capacity. The Ward Lake Recreation Area offers excellent recreation opportunities including hiking on seven area trails, fishing, boating, swimming, and wildlife viewing. The Ward Lake Nature Trail provides an accessible 1.3-mile loop around the lake.
