Three C's Group Use Campground sits within the lush temperate rainforest of Tongass National Forest, just off Ward Lake Road near Ketchikan. This compact facility offers 4 drive-in camping units with paved road access, making it one of the more accessible camping options in the area. Originally designed for group camping, the site is primarily reserved for organized groups but becomes available to individual campers on a first-come, first-served basis when the nearby Signal Creek and Last Chance campgrounds are at capacity. The campground provides basic amenities including fire rings at each site, vault toilets, and garbage collection. However, campers should note that potable water is not available on-site and must be brought in. The location offers easy access to Ward Lake Recreation Area, where visitors can enjoy fishing, hiking trails including the Perseverance trailhead and Minerva Mountain Trail, and the scenic 1.3-mile Ward Lake Nature Walk. The area's history as a Civilian Conservation Corps camp in the 1930s adds cultural interest to the natural setting. Directions

Follow the North Tongass Highway north from Ketchikan to the Revilla Road Junction. Turn right and follow the road about 1 mile to the Ward Lake Junction and take a right onto Ward Lake Road. Follow this road to the Three C's campground.
