About
Warriors Path State Park Campground is located on the shores of Patrick Henry Lake in Kingsport, Tennessee, offering three distinct camping experiences for visitors. The Main Campground features traditional campsites with water and electric hookups, fire rings, grills, and access to restrooms with heated showers. The Moody Bluff Campground is a deluxe RV facility with full hookups including water, electric, and sewer connections. Some sites accommodate RVs up to 75 feet in length, with nine pull-through sites available. Two bathhouses serve this area. The Cedar Ridge Hammock Campground represents an innovative approach to camping and is the first of its kind in the Tennessee State Park system. Built entirely from recycled materials and lumber salvaged from trees felled within the park, this waste-free, self-sustaining campground accommodates hammock camping with sites named Wild Cherry, Sweet Gum, Locust, and Pine Wheel. Each site includes water access, stone picnic tables, fire rings, lantern hooks, grills, and composting areas for campfire waste. The Pine Wheel site can accommodate up to 24 hammocks. The park is situated on a former Tennessee Valley Authority recreation area and features a marina on Patrick Henry Lake, an 18-hole golf course, hiking trails, and a nationally recognized mountain bike trail system. A camp store near the Main Campground entrance offers firewood, gear, apparel, and snacks. The park enforces strict firewood policies requiring only certified heat-treated wood or deadfall collected within the park to prevent invasive species like the Emerald Ash Borer from spreading.
