About

Cove View and Lovers Leap Campgrounds occupy a scenic ridgetop setting at Natural Tunnel State Park in southwest Virginia's Appalachian highlands. The park centers on an 850-foot-long natural tunnel carved through Purchase Ridge by Stock Creek, a geological wonder that has drawn visitors since the late 1800s. The two campground loops provide 34 sites total with electric and water hookups, modern bathhouses with hot showers, and convenient access to the park's hiking trails, chairlift, and swimming pool. Lovers Leap Campground is the newer of the two loops, featuring 18 back-in sites with 20, 30, and 50-amp electrical service accommodating RVs up to 50 feet. Site 9 is ADA-accessible, and the loop includes a laundry facility, volleyball net, and horseshoe pits. Cove View Campground offers 16 pull-through sites with 20 and 30-amp service for rigs up to 38 feet. Both loops share a dump station and camp store selling firewood and ice. Every campsite includes a fire ring with cooking grate and an extended-top picnic table. Quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Pets are permitted with an additional nightly fee. The campgrounds operate seasonally from the first Friday in March through the first Monday in December.
