Standing Stone State Park Campground

Open — Closed for renovations starting July 7, 2025, with reopening expected in late 2026.

About

Standing Stone State Park Campground sits within Standing Stone State Park on the Cumberland Plateau, surrounded by 10,000 acres of state forestland. The park takes its name from a historic 12-foot-tall boundary stone once used between two Indian nations. The campground offers 36 tent and trailer sites, each equipped with a picnic table, charcoal grill, water hookups, and 20-, 30-, or 50-amp electrical hookups. RVs are accommodated up to 45 feet in length. Two central bathhouses serve the campground, and a dump station is available on-site. The campground is typically open year-round with Wi-Fi available throughout. Maximum stay is limited to two weeks. Pets are allowed on leash, but pack animals are not permitted. Backcountry camping is prohibited. The park sells certified heat-treated firewood, and campers are encouraged to use only heat-treated or locally collected wood to prevent the spread of invasive pests. RV travelers should access the park via Highway 52 to Highway 136, as the south entrance is not accessible for trailers and RVs.

Directions

Use Highway 52 to Highway 136 for RV and trailer access. The south entrance is not accessible for RVs.
