About

Tenmile Campground sits at 5,800 feet elevation within the Giant Sequoia National Monument portion of Sequoia National Forest. The campground offers 11 sites along Tenmile Creek, split between tent-only sites and RV-accessible sites. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-resistant food locker. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water on-site. Campers should fill up at nearby Landslide Campground before arriving. The location provides excellent access to hiking and mountain biking trails that wind through two nearby sequoia groves. The area supports year-round recreation including fishing, canoeing on nearby Hume Lake, and winter activities like snowshoeing and cross-country skiing when conditions permit. Day trips to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks are popular from this base. The campground has compacted dirt surfaces and is managed by ExplorUS under agreement with the National Park Service. Strict food storage regulations apply due to black bear activity, and off-highway vehicles are not permitted.

Directions

From Fresno, take Highway 180 east to the park entrance, turn right on Generals Highway. Turn left on Ten Mile Road; the campground is approximately five miles on the left.
