About

Sunset View Campground is a free, year-round campground at Navajo National Monument in northeastern Arizona, situated on Navajo Nation land. The campground has 31 sites available on a first-come, first-served basis with no registration or reservations required. Facilities include flush restrooms and potable water for cooking and filling small containers. Each site is equipped with a charcoal grill for cooking, though campers must bring their own charcoal. Open fires are strictly prohibited throughout the park. The campground accommodates RVs up to 28 feet but has no hookups, showers, or dump station. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times with waste properly disposed. As the campground is located on Navajo Nation land, alcohol is prohibited by Navajo Nation law. There is a 7-day annual camping limit. The monument itself preserves three significant Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings, and the campground provides an excellent base for exploring the area's archaeological sites and hiking trails.
