About
Sugarloaf Campground is a small, primitive campground with 4 single campsites located adjacent to Sugarloaf Lake in the Colville National Forest's Tonasket Ranger District. Situated in the scenic Sinlahekin Valley about 5 miles north of Conconully, this campground offers a quiet, remote camping experience with direct access to fishing and boating opportunities on the small, glassy Sugarloaf Lake. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. The campground has a vault toilet facility but no potable water or garbage service, so campers must bring their own water and pack out all trash. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Sites cost $10 per night, with an additional $5 fee for extra vehicles. The maximum length of stay is 14 days. The campground is open seasonally from April 1 through October 27. Sugarloaf Lake offers motorized and non-motorized boating, as well as lake and ice fishing. A Washington state fishing license is required. The area is also popular for hiking, with the Schalow Trail #361 accessible from across the campground entrance. Quiet hours are enforced between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., dogs must be on leash, and OHV use is prohibited within the campground.
