The site features a three-sided covered cooking shelter equipped with electrical outlets and three picnic tables. Vault toilets are available on-site, but campers must bring their own drinking water as potable water is not available. Parking accommodates up to 20 cars, trucks, or vans, or two 40-foot buses. RVs are prohibited. Set at 4,800 feet elevation amid the shortgrass prairie, the site offers excellent opportunities for stargazing, birdwatching, and wildlife observation.
