Jackson Lake State Park encompasses a 2,700-acre reservoir on Colorado's eastern plains in Morgan County, about 25 miles northwest of Fort Morgan. The park provides 251 campsites spread across multiple campground loops, with most sites offering 20, 30, or 50 amp electrical service. All campsites include a picnic table, fire ring, and grill grate. The campground operates year-round, with flush restrooms available seasonally and vault toilets accessible throughout the year. Shower houses close from October through March, reopening the first weekend of April. Water recreation dominates the summer months, with excellent opportunities for boating, water skiing, swimming at the designated beach, and fishing for walleye, catfish, and perch. The park also features 3.4 miles of trails and allows OHV riding in designated areas. A visitor center, marina store, and boat ramp serve park visitors. Jackson Lake holds the distinction of being the first Colorado State Park certified by the International Dark-Sky Association. The remote plains location away from urban light pollution creates exceptional stargazing conditions, making it a destination for astronomy enthusiasts alongside traditional campers and water sports enthusiasts.

From Fort Morgan, travel north on Highway 52 for approximately 7 miles, then turn west on County Road Y.5 for about 2.5 miles to the park entrance at 26363 County Road 3, Orchard, CO 80649.
