Open — Open year-round with reservations available. During winter months (October through March), Lakeside, Cove, and Pelican campgrounds remain open. Park gates open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Maximum stay is 14 days within a 28-day period.

Jackson Lake State Park offers 251 campsites spread across multiple campground loops around a large warmwater reservoir in northeastern Colorado. The park operates year-round with seasonal variations in available loops. Most sites include electric hookups, with exceptions at Fox Hills Campground and select tent sites. A camper services building provides hot showers, flush toilets, drinking water, and laundry facilities. The campground features level parking areas suitable for RVs and a dump station for waste disposal. As Colorado's first International Dark Sky Association certified state park, Jackson Lake provides exceptional stargazing opportunities with minimal light pollution. The reservoir offers sandy beaches and warmwater swimming, making it a popular destination for water-based recreation. Group camping is available at Dunes Campground. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive days within a 28-day period. Reservations are required and can be made up to six months in advance through the Colorado Parks and Wildlife reservation system.

Directions

From Denver, head east on I-76 and take exit 66B. Turn left (north) on CO 39/CO 52 and drive approximately nine miles. Continue half a mile past Goodrich, then turn left onto County Road Y.5. Follow County Road Y.5, which will turn north after a couple of miles, leading you past the park’s south side and into the main park area on the west side.
