Springfield Recreation Area is nestled along the shore with breathtaking views of the Missouri River. Adjacent to the park overlooking the river is a beautiful nine-hole golf course, and a bike trail connects the park to the town of Springfield. Camping at the park gives you time to relax and appreciate the scenery. Springfield Recreation Area's campsites come with or without electricity. Guests will find modern comfort stations with showers and flush toilets, dump station, playground and picnic shelter. The comfortable cabins fit four family members or friends. Inside the one-room log-style buildings are a set of bunk beds, double bed, table and benches. Meals outdoors can be prepared on the fire grate and served at the picnic table. Heating, air-conditioning and electricity are all included. Tee off at the Springfield Golf Course, although it might be hard to keep your eye on the ball when the views from the bluffs are so mesmerizing. Drop a line in the water to catch walleye, smallmouth bass and largemouth bass. Springfield Recreation Area has a boat ramp, fishing dock and fish-cleaning station.

Located at 1412 Boat Basin Drive, Springfield, SD 57062. From Tyndall, head south on SD-37 toward the Missouri River.
