Open — Open year-round. During peak season, 75% of electrical sites are reservable up to 180 days in advance; all Basic campsites and remaining electrical sites are first-come, first-served. Cabins are reservable up to one year in advance.

Situated at the confluence of the Niobrara and Missouri rivers on Nebraska's northeastern border, Niobrara State Park offers visitors a wide array of outdoor experiences in a scenic, tranquil setting. The park features a large campground with both Electric Plus and Basic campsites, with 30 Basic sites tucked into the hills overlooking the rivers. Additionally, 19 cabins sit high on the bluffs with spectacular Missouri River Valley views, all featuring air conditioning, heating, full kitchens, and screened porches. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore 14 miles of scenic trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, with a two-mile hike-bike trail traversing the park's northern boundary. The park offers supervised horseback trail rides during summer months, including special sunrise rides each Tuesday morning. A modern swimming pool situated on a hilltop is open daily from mid-June to mid-August. Anglers can access the Missouri River for walleye, sauger, smallmouth bass, catfish, and northern pike. As a certified Dark Sky location, the park offers exceptional stargazing opportunities, with cabin guests able to add a Star Package that includes telescope rental. The J. Alan Cramer Interpretive Center provides historical exhibits about the area and the Ponca Tribe. Wildlife watching is excellent, with white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, beavers, and various bird species including bald eagles. The park hosts buffalo cookouts on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day weekends.
