Spring Creek Campground sits along the scenic shores of Hebgen Lake on the Hebgen Lake Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest. Located approximately 8 miles west of West Yellowstone and 10 miles north on Denny Creek Road, this 15-site campground offers excellent access to one of Montana's premier still-water fishing lakes. The campground is situated at 6,240 feet elevation and provides a mix of shaded and partially shaded campsites, most with direct lake access or lake views. The campsites vary in size with driveway lengths ranging from 40 to over 100 feet, including site #0 which features a pull-through configuration ideal for larger RVs. During the operating season, the campground offers vault toilets and drinking water from a hand pump. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit, with firewood available for purchase. The Basin Lakes National Recreation Trail (#61) is located a short distance from the campground, providing access to a 4-mile forested climb to upper and lower Basin Lakes. Hebgen Lake is known for brown trout and rainbow trout fishing, and the campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding national forest and nearby Yellowstone National Park. The campground operates first-come, first-served with payment available on-site through traditional methods or via QR code scan using the Recreation.gov mobile app where cellular service permits.

From West Yellowstone, travel 8 miles west on US Highway 20, then turn north on Denny Creek Road and continue 10 miles to the campground.
