About

Spring Creek Campground occupies a scenic stretch of shoreline on Hebgen Lake within the Custer Gallatin National Forest's Hebgen Lake District. Located 8 miles west of West Yellowstone on US 20, then 10 miles north on Denny Creek Road, the campground serves as a quieter alternative to the busier sites near Yellowstone's west entrance. The 15-site campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Sites vary from shaded spots under mature trees to open locations with direct lake views. Site #0 stands out as a large pull-through exceeding 100 feet, positioned right on the water. Most other sites feature driveways between 40-60 feet with an average trailer parking spur of 18 feet, making the campground better suited for smaller RVs and trailers. Facilities include vault toilets with accessible options, trash collection, and fire rings at sites. Campers must bring their own drinking water as none is available on-site. Firewood is sold for $10 per bundle. The area offers fishing, swimming, and scenic viewing opportunities along Hebgen Lake.
