Spring Creek Camp Area sits on the banks of Hebgen Lake within the Custer Gallatin National Forest, approximately 8 miles west of West Yellowstone. This 15-site campground provides a convenient base for exploring the greater Yellowstone ecosystem while enjoying lakeside camping with fishing and boating opportunities. The campground operates strictly on a first-come, first-served basis from late May through late September, weather dependent. Sites accommodate a range of camping setups with driveway lengths from 40 feet to over 100 feet, including pull-through options. Amenities are limited to vault toilets (with accessible facilities) and trash service. There is no potable water, showers, or RV hookups. Firewood is available for purchase at $10 per bundle from the host at nearby Lonesomehurst Campground. Payment can be made on-site via QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app. Download the app before arrival as cellular service may be limited. Standard site fees are $16 per night for up to two vehicles, with peak season rates at $23 per night.
