About
Spillway Campground is a small, rustic campground with just 3 first-come, first-served campsites situated along Anderson Ranch Reservoir, a stone's throw from Anderson Ranch Dam. The campground operates without fees and provides basic amenities including vault toilets, picnic tables, and campfire rings. Campers must bring their own water as none is available on site. Anderson Ranch Reservoir is a popular destination for a variety of water-based recreation including boating, waterskiing, and personal watercraft. Anglers will find excellent fishing opportunities for smallmouth bass and kokanee in the reservoir, and fly fishing for trout is available just below the dam. Rafting access is available at nearby Reclamation Village, located just south of the campground. The campground is located in the Mountain Home Ranger District of Boise National Forest and is accessed via Forest Service Road 134. The small size and scenic location make this a quiet spot for those seeking a peaceful camping experience near the water.
Directions
From Mountain Home, Idaho, travel northeast 21 miles on State Highway 20 to Forest Service Road 134. Turn north on FR 134 and continue approximately 6 miles to Anderson Ranch Dam. Spillway Campground is located near the dam.
