About
Spillway Campground sits at the edge of Anderson Ranch Reservoir, just a stone's throw from the dam in Idaho's Boise National Forest. This compact, free campground has just 3 first-come-first-served sites, making it a quiet spot for anglers and boaters who want to stay close to the water without crowds or fees. The reservoir is a popular summer destination known for excellent fishing. Target smallmouth bass and kokanee in the reservoir, or try fly fishing for trout in the waters just below the dam. Boating, waterskiing, and personal watercraft are all popular activities. Rafting access is available at Reclamation Village, located just south of the campground. Amenities are basic: vault toilet, picnic tables, and fire rings. There is no potable water, so bring your own supply. No hookups are available, making this best suited for tent campers or self-contained RVs.
Directions
From Mountain Home, Idaho, travel northeast 21 miles on State Highway 20 to the Forest Service Road 134 turnoff. Take FR 134 north approximately 6 miles to Anderson Ranch Dam. Spillway Campground is adjacent to the dam.
