About

South Fork Campground is a small riverside campground nestled along the South Fork of the Clearwater River in Idaho's Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. Located at Mile Post 14 on Highway 14, it provides easy access to fishing opportunities for trout, steelhead, and salmon. The campground features 9 sites that accommodate both tent campers and RVs, though site lengths are limited. Each site includes a picnic table, fire grill, tent pad, and paved parking spur. Vault toilets are provided, and drinking water is available from a hand pump during peak season. A volunteer campground host may be present during the summer months. Site #3 is the longest at 31 feet, followed by Site #8 at 25 feet; all other sites are shorter. The campground follows a pack-it-in, pack-it-out policy with no trash services provided. A group site (Site #5) accommodating up to 25 people is available by reservation through Recreation.gov, while all standard sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
