About

Siria Campground occupies a scenic location in the Rock Creek drainage of Lolo National Forest, surrounded by old-growth ponderosa pine forest. The adjacent Rock Creek is one of Montana's premier blue-ribbon trout streams, attracting anglers seeking quality fishing in a rugged canyon environment. The campground provides a primitive camping experience with vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings at sites. No potable water is available, so campers must bring their own supply. The access road is narrow and rough, making this campground unsuitable for trailers, motorhomes, or tow vehicles. Each site has a two-vehicle limit. Bear-resistant food storage is required per Forest Service order. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet. Nearby trails include Babcock Mountain Trail for day hiking, and the area offers opportunities for wildlife viewing and winter activities like cross-country skiing and snowshoeing when conditions permit.

Directions

From Interstate 90, approximately 20 miles east of Missoula, take Rock Creek exit #126 onto Rock Creek Road. Drive 28 miles south on Rock Creek Road #102. Trailers, motorhomes, and tow vehicles are not recommended due to narrow and rough road conditions.
