About

Grizzly Campground is a small, peaceful campground located in the Ranch Creek drainage east of Rock Creek in the Lolo National Forest. Several campsites border the creek, providing a serene streamside camping experience in the Montana mountains. The campground offers flush toilets and potable water, along with picnic tables and fire rings. Access requires traveling 20 miles east of Missoula on Interstate 90 to exit #126, then 11.5 miles south on Rock Creek Road #102, followed by 1 mile east on Ranch Creek Road. The final approach road is narrow and rough, making it unsuitable for trailers, motorhomes, and tow vehicles. This is best suited for tent campers and smaller vehicles. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a 6-foot leash. Horse and pack animals are not permitted. The area sees moderate use during the summer season.

Directions

20 miles east of Missoula on Interstate 90, take Rock Creek exit #126 onto Rock Creek Road. Drive 11.5 miles south along Rock Creek Road #102, then 1 mile east on Ranch Creek Road. Trailers, motorhomes and tow vehicles not recommended due to the narrow and rough road.
