About

Harry's Flat Campground offers a rustic camping experience along Rock Creek, one of Montana's premier blue ribbon trout streams. Located in the Rock Creek drainage of Lolo National Forest, the campground is nestled among ponderosa pine and Douglas-fir trees in a rugged canyon environment. The site includes a hardened river access ramp and day use parking for vehicles and boat trailers, making it convenient for fishing access. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. Amenities include flush toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables, though no potable water is available. Campers must bring their own drinking water. Bear safety protocols are in effect, requiring proper food and wildlife attractant storage. Access to the campground requires a 17-mile drive on Rock Creek Road from Interstate 90. Due to the narrow and rough road conditions, trailers, motorhomes, and tow vehicles are not recommended. The campground sees moderate use throughout the season.

Directions

From Missoula, drive 20 miles east on Interstate 90 and take Rock Creek exit #126 onto Rock Creek Road. Continue 17 miles south on Rock Creek Road #102. Note: Trailers, motorhomes, and tow vehicles are not recommended due to the narrow and rough road.
