About
Silver Springs State Park Campground provides 59 well-appointed campsites spread across two loops in a scenic pine and oak forest setting. Each site includes water and electric hookups with both 30-amp and 50-amp service, along with a fire ring, barbecue grill, and picnic table. Some sites offer sewer hookups, and a separate dump station is available for other sites. The campground accommodates RVs up to 50 feet in length and features two bathhouses with flush toilets and hot showers. Sites 20 and 53 are fully accessible with paved pads and sidewalks. Beyond camping, the park offers six fully equipped vacation cabins that sleep up to six people, each with full kitchens, two bedrooms, screened porches, and fire rings. A primitive group camping area near the Silver River is available for organized groups with preference given to youth groups. The camping entrance provides access to multiple hiking trails including the Sandhill Trail and River Loop, as well as a canoe and kayak launch with a short portage to the river. Campers can explore the Silver River, visit the Silver River Museum and Pioneer Village on weekends, or venture to the main park entrance to experience glass bottom boat tours over the crystal-clear springs. Firewood is available for purchase at the ranger station.
Directions
Camping entrance is located one mile south on State Road 35 from State Road 40 in Silver Springs, Florida.
