The cabin features three bedrooms: a master with a queen-size bed, a second bedroom with two twin-over-double bunk beds, and a third bedroom with a double-sized futon. The living room contains two full-sized futons for additional sleeping capacity. Two full bathrooms with showers, sinks, and toilets serve the residence. The dining room seats six, and a screened porch offers a comfortable outdoor space. Outside, guests can enjoy a propane grill and picnic table. The surrounding landscape is defined by rugged granite formations, wooded slopes, and seasonal streams. The Dragoon Mountains form a protective rampart of granite spires, sheer cliffs, and balanced boulders that once served as refuge for Apache Chief Cochise. The Cochise Stronghold area is renowned as one of the premier rock climbing and bouldering destinations in the Southwest, with routes ranging from 5.6 to 5.12 in difficulty. Nearby trails provide excellent hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding opportunities, with signed interpretive trails for natural and cultural resources at the adjacent Cochise Stronghold Campground.
